IMMUNOPLEX-N

IMMUNOPLEX-N is a recombinant Interferon Alpha 2B which comes in the form of white lyophilised tablets dosed at 200 International Units (IU). Its breakthrough formulation allows sublingual administration. Proteolytic enzymes in the gastric juices have restricted the use of oral preparations until now.

IMMUNOPLEX-N brings an original solution to the problem of enzymatic breakdown by stabilising molecules of Alpha Interferon into a carbohydrate complex.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

IMMUNOPLEX-N has the same action as natural Interferon alfa :

• Antiviral activity due its immuno-modulator action, which helps to eliminate infected cells.

•  Induction cellular resistance to viral infection.

•  Antiproliferative action by a yet unknown mechanism, myelosuppression and inhibition
asof circulating white blood cells have been shown experimentally.

•
Inhibition tumoral growth with a decrease in the rate of synthesis of nucleic acids and asproteins go along a sharp increase of beta-2-microglobulins.

•  Activation of macrophages which have a major role in the defense mechanism against asinfection.

THERAPEUTICALS INDICATIONS

SIDE and ADVERSE EFFECTS

As of today no side or undesirable effects have been reported during IMMUNOPLEX-N therapy. Low doses of the product do not induce the sometimes serious side effects commonly associated with high dose injectable forms, including gastro-intestinal, cardiovascular, haematopoietic, renal, muco-cutaneous and pulmonary complications.

PREGNANCY

During pregnancy and early chilhood, a physician should determine whether potential clinical benefits justifies the decision to administer IMMUNOPLEX-N.
